Hippocrates Research Srl (HR) is a full service CRO and regulatory consultant founded in 1995, as a company of Hippocrates Group, with HQ located in Genova (Italy).
According to data provided by AIFA, the Italian Drug Agency, HR is qualified to be one of the largest privately owned domestic CROs operating in Italy. Putting in place a Management BuyOut process, HR has welcomed internal managers, mainly represented by women, into the upper management.
Hippocrates Research is registered and authorised to conduct regulatory studies in Italy by AIFA. Moreover is registered in EudraVigilance (EMA) for pharmacovigilance activities and qualified by EMA/ENCePPass for Non-Interventional Studies (NIS) in Europe. HR is also ISO 9001 certified since 2004.
For activities conducted in Italy, HR serves customers in Europe (48%), North America (22%), Japan (11%) and Italy (19%). About 80% of the HR annual revenues come from clinical trials conducted in Italy for non-Italian customers. About 24% of HR’s customers are non-Italian CROs needing to conduct activities in Italy. HR manages studies in Italy, from first-in-human to phase 4 and thanks to its shareholding in PSN Research (International CRO) is able to manage clinical trials also in Europe working with its valuable partners.
More than 40% of the total turnover is given by NIS, including PASS and over 10% by medical devices and food supplements.
With 1,800+ clinical sites activated in Italy in various disciplines HR has a recognized cutting-edge expertise for studies in Cardiology, Onco-haematology, Gastroenterology, Urology, Sexual Health, Infectiology, Dermatology and Ophthalmology.
